Name of an old cartoon?

theres this old cartoon I saw when I was a little younger, and I have 12 now. but I saw a VHS was this cartoon but in a VHS, you had episodes and what not. What is an easy (to use and install), and the cartoon show cheap or free?

I read the other Q & A on this subject, but have not reached a conclusion on what to get. Synfig Studio is similar to what I want, but I see that can cause problems with your computer. Other similar? I like the idea of ??being able to scan a drawing I made in character and manipulated to make walking and other things instead of taking thousands of images. And if I did a cartoon that I would be able to upload to youtube. One of the problems of others is more like your graphics card need to be set a certain way or a particular type. I do not know what this team have (I have win xp home and a AMD Athlon X2 CPU by the way) or how it would change. My biggest fear is to play the team up (and is free of viruses and spyware?). Could be in 3D instead of 2D animation as well.
