Why do you choose a repair shop on another car?
I own a shop in the 90s and will soon open another. What attracts you to use a particular shop? Is quality, price, customer service, covenience, overall "Value" (a combination of the previous reasonable cost) and so the most important? What is the highest priority for you? In the publicity you get what catches your eye or make you want to try a new place? In the yellow pages you drawn to color ads, big ads, or what? Having a customer shuttle help? What free pickup and delivery to your car in say 5 miles? Dp you prefer chains (Your money leaves the city) or independent (your money is put to good use in the city)? Do you feel that you maintain your car at a level that will maximize it's useful life or you just want cheap transportation? Everything you want to add please do. Thank you for your answers, even the most wacky, I'm sure I'll receive.
I think the thing most to the customer's mind these days is honesty Poster said last mentioned, but I think it is worth elaborating on. If I were to open a shop, I'd be looking for ways to prove my honesty, just nuts preach. Things like allowing customers to watch the repairs of defective parts to see that you recommend replace, by offering to solve a problem without the customer has been charged to solve a problem that has not been properly fixed … I went to a place I like near where I am, and was impressed hearing a phone call the chief engineer made to a customer, which he admitted a mistake, which was replacing a part that was actually very good, and said it was the client money for this part. In an honest business, all this should be second nature, and I think it speaks well of a company. I think also that the mechanics of paying just a piece of work rate is excellent as possible. Most business owners fall into a habit crafty try to maximize profit, and who can really blame them? There are tons of competition for people's money in our economy cruddy, but a pattern that treats its workers and is the ordinary decency, and also adds to companies' reputation of. These are the main qualities I look if I need to take my car to the shop. I also think that if you practice this kind of business, reputation will speak for itself, and people want to spread the word for you. A fair and honest business, especially a car repair shop, is a gem, and it will not be appreciated. As for advertising in the yellow pages (and in general I guess), I recommend something catchy, but modest. You do not want it looks like a simple phone number, but you do not use huge fonts and use of unpleasant publicity tired. As for customer service, you probably have an idea that if you had a store front … but I think that issues such as whether the person wants cheap transportation, or maximizing the life of car is that you must deal with each client, especially if it is a costly repair. Personal attention, not only a free person, but the person working on the car, adds a seriousness to the service.

Trade my 1997 Honda Civic for 1998 Ford Ranger?
I want a truck, but I assure you that this is a good deal. Right now I a 1997 Honda with 150,000 miles that seems to be working perfectly. And I know that civic education can not last forever, if properly maintained. I have the option to purchase a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT with only 85,000 miles for $ 3000 …. I'm sure I could get on that much or even more than my car. The draw back is that it is a 2WD, which is kind of a bummer because I live in Colorado. Both cars were well maintained with oil changes and checks. So I guess my question is ….. Is it OKAY agreement to buy the truck and selling my Civic? Suggestions? I love reliabilties Honda, but want a good truck to help carry around my. What Ya Think?
If you can get for $ 3000 your car so I think it would be treated fairly. However, you should remember that although you will be able to carry your stuff around you pay more fuel by purchasing the Ranger. This model year Ranger got about 16 mpg and the Honda Civic model year got about 26 or 27. If you know engine size and type of transmission of the Ranger and then go to www. fueleconomy.gov and left click on the words and compare them side by side to find two vehicles and you can compare mpg and about how much you spend each year on gas for each vehicle. If you do not care about gas then I think you should buy the truck. Rangers are very reliable and usually last long. Hope this helps!
